The Basterfield Model B36645(D-112-0600C) Knee Operated Wash Basin is a heavy-duty, hygienic wash hand solution engineered for institutional and commercial environments where strict hygiene control is essential. Manufactured from high-quality Stainless Steel Grade 304 with a robust 1.2 mm material thickness, the basin offers excellent corrosion resistance, long service life, and ease of cleaning. Its non-porous stainless steel surface supports effective sanitation protocols, making it well suited to demanding hygiene-critical installations. The basin has an overall size of 600mm (L) x 435mm (W) x 692mm (H) and incorporates a generously proportioned trough-style bowl with a depth of 150mm. The bowl is formed with smooth radiused corners to minimise dirt traps and ensure efficient drainage towards a centrally positioned Ø40mm waste outlet. A rear upstand is integrated into the design to protect the wall surface from water splash and to maintain a clean junction between the unit and the wall. Designed for wall-mounted installation, the unit is supplied complete with a front-mounted knee-operated demand valve, allowing hands-free activation using either the left or right knee. This configuration significantly reduces the risk of cross-contamination compared to hand-operated tapware. A standard bib spout is supplied, providing controlled water delivery suitable for frequent wash cycles. The B36645(D-112-0600C) is ideal for food processing plants, commercial kitchens, healthcare facilities, laboratories, clean rooms, and other environments where hygiene compliance and durability are paramount.
