B17720 Curved-Back Trough Urinal with Automatic Flush Tank

The Basterfield B17720 is a stainless steel curved-back trough urinal with an integral mechanical automatic-flush tipping tray. Its automatic operation comes from water filling and tipping the tray, not from an infrared sensor or an electronic control system.

Water slowly enters the tipping tray through a drip cock. As the tray fills, it reaches its tipping point and tips over, releasing the collected water to flush the urinal. The tray then returns to its filling position and the cycle repeats while water continues to enter through the drip cock.

The time between flushes depends on how quickly the tray fills through the drip cock. Flushing is periodic and is not triggered by a person approaching or leaving the urinal. The mechanical flushing mechanism requires no electrical supply, batteries, infrared detector or electronic timer.

The urinal is manufactured from Grade 304 stainless steel with a dull polished finish and a sound-deadened rear panel. Select the required length and a centre, left-hand or right-hand 70 mm waste outlet to suit the installation. Choose B17710 where a flush-valve urinal is required instead of the built-in mechanical tipping-tray system.
