Each station has fixed brushes for cleaning boot soles and a hand-held water-fed scrubbing brush for the sides and uppers. The fixed brush arrangement is for sole cleaning only.
Water operation Water flow is controlled by a mixer lever that can be operated by hand or wrist. Wrist operation can reduce direct hand contact with the lever. The current design uses a mixer rather than a push-button valve.
Materials The main body, structural frame, handrails and wetted surfaces of the wash enclosure are Grade 304 stainless steel. The non-wetted rear cover panel is galvanised mild steel, the internal water pipework is copper, and proprietary valves and fittings may have a chrome-plated finish. Brushes and other functional components use materials appropriate to their function. The complete assembly is not manufactured entirely from Grade 304 stainless steel.
Waste connection The standard waste outlet is 1½-inch BSP with a BSPT tapered thread. Outlet position is specified by the selected station configuration.
Operating water pressure Connect to a normal reticulated water supply. A nominal supply pressure of approximately 300 kPa is recommended. Pressure at the mixer must not exceed 600 kPa; install a suitable pressure-reducing valve where the site pressure exceeds this limit.
Installation The unit is freestanding on adjustable feet for levelling. Where required, the adjustable footplates may be anchored to the floor to secure the unit.
Intended use and operating load Normal use allows one user per station to rest one foot on the unit during cleaning. The unit is designed to support the loads imposed under these normal operating conditions. Users must not stand or climb on the unit. No separately certified maximum user-load rating has been established. The product is warranted for its intended use under normal operating conditions.
